Rethinking Mission Work

5 Apr

Last week I had this awesome opportunity to talk to Debbie Weatherspoon, a pastor at Los Altos United Methodist Church. Debbie just got back from Nicaragua, where she and a few others met with organizations they hope to work with in the future to establish the beginnings of a long-term relationship. She acknowledges the tradition of house building in Mexico, but is currently pushing towards a more sustainable model focused on empowerment rather than charity. Watch the video below to learn more about our conversation!

This is so fantastic — mission is certainly a term that i struggle with myself. I love your blog & look forward to seeing what is next for you, D!
